Rumbak village

Rumbak is a village in the Leh district of Ladakh, India. It is located in the Leh tehsil and lies within Hemis National Park. It is located 3,960m above sea level.

The Rumbak valley is situated within the national park at an altitude of 4000m. It is home to a rich diversity of wildlife such as snow leopards, Tibetan wolves, blue sheep, Asiatic ibex, Ladakh urial and more. Several species of birds like golden eagles, vultures and migratory birds can also be seen.

Hemis National Park is a high altitude national park in the eastern Ladakh region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The park is home to a number of species of endangered mammals, including the snow leopard.
